The Word of Yahuah that came to Mikhah the Morashtite in the days of Yotam, Achaz, and Chizqiyahu, kings of Yehudah, which he saw concerning Shomron and Yerushalayim.

Hear, all you peoples. Give ear, O earth and all that fills it. And let Adonai Yahuah be a witness against you, Adonai from His holy Temple.

For see, Yahuah is going out from His place. And He will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.

And the mountains shall melt beneath Him, and the valleys shall split apart, like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place.

All this is because of the transgression of Yaaqov and because of the sins of the House of Yisra’el. What is the transgression of Yaaqov? Is it not Shomron? And what are the high places of Yehudah? Are they not Yerushalayim?

Therefore I will make Shomron a heap in the field, a place for planting vineyards. And I will pour her stones into the valley, and uncover her foundations.

And all her carved images shall be shattered, and all her wages shall be burned with fire. And all her idols I will make desolate. For from the wages of prostitution she gathered them, and to the wages of prostitution they shall return.

Because of this I will lament and wail. I will walk stripped and naked. I will make lamentation like the tanninim, and mourning like the daughters of the wilderness.

For her wound is incurable. It has come even to Yehudah. It has reached to the gate of My People, even to Yerushalayim.

Do not declare it in Gat. Do not weep at all. In Beit-Le-Afrah roll yourself in dust.

Pass away, inhabitant of Shafir, in nakedness and shame. The inhabitant of Tza’anan does not go out. The mourning of Beit-Ha’Etzel shall take from you its standing place.

For the inhabitant of Marot waited anxiously for good, because evil has come down from Yahuah to the gate of Yerushalayim.

Make yourself bald and shear yourself for the sons of your delight. Enlarge your baldness like the eagle, for they have gone from you into captivity.
