The Word of Yahuah that came to Hoshea son of Be’eri, in the days of Uzziyahu, Yotam, Achaz, and Chizqiyahu, kings of Yehudah, and in the days of Yarovam son of Yoash, king of Yisra’el.

The beginning of the Word of Yahuah through Hoshea. And Yahuah said to Hoshea: “Go, take for yourself an ishah of prostitution and children of prostitution, for prostituting, the land has surely prostituted itself from following Yahuah.”

And he went and took Gomer daughter of Divlayim. And she conceived and bore him a son.
4
And Yahuah said to him: “Call his name Yizre’el, for yet a little while and I will visit the blood of Yizre’el upon the House of Yehu, and I will cause the Kingdom of the House of Yisra’el to cease.

And it shall be in that day that I will break the bow of Yisra’el in the Valley of Yizre’el.”

And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said to him: “Call her name Lo-Ruchamah, for I will no longer have compassion upon the House of Yisra’el, that forgiving, I should forgive them.
7
But upon the House of Yehudah I will have compassion, and I will save them by Yahuah their Elohim. And I will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.”

And she weaned Lo-Ruchamah. And she conceived and bore a son.

And He said: “Call his name Lo-Ammi, for you are not My People, and I will not be yours.
10
Yet the number of the sons of Yisra’el shall be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall be that in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My People,’ it shall be said to them, ‘Sons of the living Elohim.’
11
And the sons of Yehudah and the sons of Yisra’el shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint for themselves one head, and they shall go up from the land, for great shall be the day of Yizre’el.”
