1
Hear this, kohenim, and give ear, House of Yisra’el, and listen, House of the King, for the Judgment is against you, because you have been a snare at Mitzpah and a net spread upon Tavor.
2
And the rebels have gone deep in slaughter, but I am a correction to them all.
3
I know Efrayim, and Yisra’el is not hidden from Me. For now, Efrayim, you have prostituted yourself; Yisra’el has become unclean.
4
Their deeds do not permit them to return to their Elohim, for a ruach of prostitution is within them, and Yahuah they do not know.
5
And the pride of Yisra’el testifies to his face. And Yisra’el and Efrayim shall stumble in their crookedness. Yehudah also shall stumble with them.
6
With their flocks and with their herds they shall go to seek Yahuah, but they shall not find Him. He has withdrawn from them.
7
Against Yahuah they have acted treacherously, for they have fathered foreign children. Now a new moon shall devour them with their portions.
8
Blow the shofar in Givah, the trumpet in Ramah. Raise the alarm at Beit-Aven: “Behind you, Binyamin!”
9
Efrayim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Yisra’el I make known what is certain.
10
The rulers of Yehudah have become like those who move a boundary marker. Upon them I will pour out My wrath like water.
11
Efrayim is oppressed, crushed in Judgment, because he was willing to walk after command.
12
Therefore I am like a moth to Efrayim and like decay to the House of Yehudah.
13
And Efrayim saw his sickness, and Yehudah his wound. Then Efrayim went to Ashshur and sent to the great king. But he is not able to heal you, nor can he remove your wound.
14
For I will be like a lion to Efrayim, and like a young lion to the House of Yehudah. I, I will tear and go away. I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.
15
I will go and return to My place until they bear their guilt and seek My face. In their distress they will seek Me early.
