1
“Set the shofar to your mouth. Like an eagle he comes against the House of Yahuah, because they have transgressed My Covenant and rebelled against My Torah.
2
To Me they cry: ‘My Elohim, we Yisra’el know You.’
3
Yisra’el has rejected what is good. The enemy shall pursue him.
4
They made kings, but not from Me. They appointed rulers, but I did not know it. From their silver and their gold they made idols for themselves, that they might be cut off.
5
Your calf, Shomron, has been rejected. My anger burns against them. How long will they be incapable of cleanness?
6
For from Yisra’el is even this. A craftsman made it, and it is not Elohim. For the calf of Shomron shall become fragments.
7
For they sow ruach, and they shall reap whirlwind. It has no standing grain. The stalk shall produce no flour. And if it should produce, foreigners shall swallow it.
8
Yisra’el is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations like a vessel in which no one delights.
9
For they have gone up to Ashshur, a wild donkey alone by itself. Efrayim has hired lovers.
10
Though they hire among the nations, now I will gather them. And they shall begin to diminish under the burden of king and rulers.
11
Because Efrayim multiplied altars for sin, altars became for him for sinning.
12
I wrote for him the great things of My Torah, but they were counted as something foreign.
13
As for the sacrifices of My offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it, but Yahuah does not accept them. Now He will remember their crookedness and visit their sins. They shall return to Mitzrayim.
14
For Yisra’el forgot his Maker and built palaces. And Yehudah multiplied fortified cities. But I will send fire upon his cities, and it shall consume their strongholds.”
