1
Woe to those who are at ease in Tziyon, and to those who trust in the mountain of Shomron, the distinguished ones of the first among the nations, to whom the House of Yisra’el comes.
2
Pass over to Kalneh and see, and from there go to Chamat the great, then go down to Gat of the Pelishtim. Are they better than these kingdoms? Or is their border greater than your border?
3
You who put far away the evil day, yet bring near the seat of violence.
4
Those who lie upon beds of ivory and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat lambs from the flock and calves from the midst of the stall.
5
Those who improvise to the sound of the harp, who invent for themselves instruments of song like Daviyd.
6
Those who drink wine from bowls and anoint themselves with the finest oils, but are not grieved over the breaking of Yosef.
7

10
And his relative, the one who burns him, shall lift him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to the one in the inner parts of the house: “Is anyone else with you?” And he shall say: “No.” Then he shall say: “Silence, for we must not mention the Name of Yahuah.”
11
For see, Yahuah commands, and He will strike the great house into fragments and the small house into cracks.
12
Do horses run upon rock? Does one plow there with oxen? Yet you have turned Judgment into poison and the fruit of Righteousness into wormwood.
13
You who rejoice over Lo-Devar, who say: “Have we not by our own strength taken Qarnayim for ourselves?”
14
“For see, I am raising against you, House of Yisra’el,” declares Yahuah, Elohim of Hosts, “a nation. And they shall oppress you from the entrance of Chamat to the wadi of the Arabah.”
