1
And he showed me Yehoshua the high kohen standing before the messenger of Yahuah, and the Adversary standing at his right hand to accuse him.
2
And Yahuah said to the Adversary: “Yahuah rebuke you, O Adversary. Yes, Yahuah who has chosen Yerushalayim rebuke you. Is this one not a firebrand snatched from the fire?”
3
Now Yehoshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the messenger.
4
And he answered and spoke to those standing before him, saying: “Remove the filthy garments from upon him.” And he said to him: “See, I have caused your crookedness to pass from upon you, and I will clothe you with garments of honor.”
5
And I said: “Let them set a clean turban upon his head.” And they set the clean turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the messenger of Yahuah stood by.
6
And the messenger of Yahuah testified to Yehoshua, saying:
7
“Thus says Yahuah of Hosts: ‘If you walk in My ways and if you guard My charge, then you shall judge My House and shall also guard My courts, and I will give you access among these who stand here.
8
Hear now, Yehoshua the high kohen, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are men of a sign. For see, I am bringing forth My servant, Tzemach.
9
For see the stone that I have set before Yehoshua. Upon one stone are seven eyes. See, I will engrave its engraving,’ declares Yahuah of Hosts, ‘and I will remove the crookedness of that land in one day.
10
In that day,’ declares Yahuah of Hosts, ‘each ish shall call his neighbor beneath the vine and beneath the fig tree.’”
