1
The Song of Songs, which is Shəlomah’s.
2
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love is better than wine.
3
Because of the fragrance of your good oils, your name is oil poured forth. Therefore the maidens love you.
4
Draw me after you; let us run. The king has brought me into his chambers. We will rejoice and be glad in you. We will remember your love more than wine. Uprightly they love you.
5
I am dark and beautiful, O daughters of Yerushalayim, like the tents of Qedar, like the curtains of Shəlomah.
6
Do not gaze upon me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me. The sons of my mother were angry with me. They made me keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept.
7
Tell me, you whom my being loves, where do you pasture? Where do you make the flock lie down at noon? For why should I be like one who veils herself beside the flocks of your companions?
8
If you do not know, O most beautiful among women, go out in the tracks of the flock and pasture your young goats beside the dwellings of the shepherds.
9
To a mare among the chariots of Pharaoh I compare you, my beloved.
10
Your cheeks are beautiful with ornaments, your neck with strings of jewels.
11
We shall make for you ornaments of gold with studs of silver.
12
While the king was at his table, my nard gave forth its fragrance.
13
My beloved is to me a bundle of myrrh, resting between my breasts.
14
My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms in the vineyards of Ein-Gedi.
15
See, you are beautiful, my beloved. See, you are beautiful. Your eyes are doves.
16
See, you are beautiful, my beloved, and pleasant. Indeed, our couch is green.
17
The beams of our house are cedars, and our rafters are cypresses.
