1
Then the righteous one shall stand with great boldness before those who afflicted him and made nothing of his labors.
2
When they see him, they shall be shaken with terrible fear and shall be astonished at the unexpectedness of his salvation.
3
And they shall say among themselves, repenting and groaning through anguish of ruach:
4
“This is the one whom we once held in mockery and made a proverb of reproach. We fools considered his life madness and his end without honor.
5
How has he been counted among the sons of Elohim, and how is his portion among the holy ones?
6
Therefore we wandered from the way of truth, and the light of Righteousness did not shine upon us, and the sun did not rise for us.
7
We filled ourselves with paths of lawlessness and destruction, and we traveled through trackless wildernesses, but the way of Yahuah we did not know.
8
What did pride profit us? And what did wealth with boasting bring to us?
9
All those things passed away like a shadow and like a report that runs past;
10
like a ship passing through surging waters, whose path, when it has passed, cannot be found, nor the trace of its keel among the waves;
11
or like a bird flying through the air, whose passage leaves no sign. The light air, struck by the beating of its wings and divided by the force of its flight, is passed through by moving wings, and afterward no mark of its passage is found;
12
or like an arrow shot toward a mark: the air it divides immediately closes again, so that its path is not known.
13
So also we, as soon as we were born, ceased to be, and we had no sign of virtue to show, but were consumed in our wickedness.”
14
For the hope of the wicked is like chaff carried by wind, and like thin frost driven away by a storm, and like smoke scattered by wind, and like the remembrance of a guest who stays only one day.
15
But the righteous shall live forever, and their reward is with Yahuah, and the care of them is with El Elyon.
16
Therefore they shall receive a glorious kingdom and a beautiful crown from the hand of Yahuah, for with His right hand He shall cover them, and with His arm He shall shield them.
17
He shall take His jealousy as complete armor, and He shall arm creation to repay His enemies.
18
He shall put on Righteousness as a breastplate and wear impartial Judgment as a helmet.
19
He shall take holiness as an unconquerable shield.
20
He shall sharpen severe wrath as a sword, and the world shall fight with Him against the foolish.
21
Well-aimed bolts of lightning shall go forth and leap from the clouds as from a well-drawn bow toward the mark.
22
And hailstones full of wrath shall be hurled as from a stone-sling. The water of the sea shall rage against them, and rivers shall overwhelm them without mercy.
23
A mighty wind shall rise against them, and like a storm shall scatter them. Thus lawlessness shall make all the earth desolate, and wickedness shall overturn the thrones of rulers.
