1
For Your incorruptible Ruach is in all things.
2
Therefore You correct little by little those who fall, and You warn them by reminding them of the things through which they sin, so that, turning away from wickedness, they may trust in You, Yahuah.
3
For You hated the ancient inhabitants of Your holy land,
4
because they practiced works detestable to You— sorceries, unholy rites,
5
merciless slaughter of children, feasts consuming human flesh and blood, and initiations from the midst of a polluted assembly,
6
and parents who murdered helpless beings. You willed to destroy them by the hands of our fathers,
7
so that the land most precious to You might receive a worthy settlement of servants of Elohim.
8
Yet even these, because they were Adam, You spared, and sent hornets as forerunners of Your army, to destroy them little by little.
9
Not because You were unable to give the wicked into the hands of the righteous in battle, or to destroy them at once by fierce beasts or by a severe word,
10
but judging them little by little, You gave them a place for repentance, though You were not ignorant that their nature was evil, and their wickedness was born with them, and that their thought would never change.
11
For they were a cursed seed from the beginning. Nor was it because You feared anyone that You gave pardon for their sins.
12
For who shall say, “What have You done?” Or who shall stand against Your Judgment? Who shall accuse You for nations You made and destroyed? Or who shall come before You as an avenger for unrighteous men?
13
For there is no Elohim besides You who takes care for all things, that You should prove that You have not judged unrighteously.
14
Neither can king nor ruler stand before You concerning those whom You punished.
15
But because You are righteous, You order all things in Righteousness, considering it foreign to Your Power to condemn one who does not deserve to be punished.
16
For Your strength is the beginning of Righteousness, and because You are Master of all, You spare all.
17
For when the fullness of Your Power is doubted, You reveal Your strength, and in those who know it You rebuke arrogance.
18
But You, Master of strength, judge with gentleness and govern us with great restraint, for Power is with You whenever You desire.
19
By such works You taught Your People that the righteous must love Adam, and You gave Your sons good hope, because You grant repentance for sins.
20
For if You punished the enemies of Your sons, those worthy of death, with such careful attention, giving them time and place by which they might turn from wickedness,
21
with how much greater care did You judge Your sons, to whose fathers You gave Oaths and Covenants of good promises.
22
Therefore, while disciplining us, You scourge our enemies ten thousand times more, so that when we judge, we may remember Your goodness, and when we ourselves are judged, we may expect compassion.
23
Therefore those who lived foolishly and crookedly, You tormented through their own abominations.
24
For they wandered farther than the paths of error, taking as mighty ones among the creatures of the enemy those which even among beasts are despised, being deceived like children without understanding.
25
Therefore, as to children without understanding, You sent a judgment that mocked them.
26
But those who would not be corrected by a discipline of mockery shall experience a Judgment worthy of Elohim.
27
For when they suffered through the creatures they had regarded as mighty ones, they were angered by the very things through which they were punished. And seeing Him whom they had formerly refused to know, they acknowledged the true Elohim. Therefore the end of condemnation came upon them.
