1
Therefore become imitators of Elohim, as beloved children,
2
and walk in love, just as the Anointed also loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to Elohim for a fragrant aroma.
3
But sexual immorality, and every uncleanness, or greed, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for set-apart ones,
4
nor shameful speech, nor foolish talk, nor crude joking, which are not fitting, but rather thanksgiving.
5
For know this with certainty: no sexually immoral one, or unclean one, or greedy one— who is an idolater— has Inheritance in the Kingdom of the Anointed and of Elohim.
6
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of Elohim comes upon the children of disobedience.
7
Therefore do not become partners with them.
8
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Master. Walk as children of light,
9
for the fruit of light is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,
10
testing what is pleasing to the Master.
11
And have no fellowship with the fruitless works of darkness, but rather expose them.
12
For the things being done by them in secret are shameful even to speak of.
13
But all things being exposed by the light are made visible,
14
for everything made visible is light. Therefore it says: “Awake, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and the Anointed shall shine upon you.”
15
Therefore watch carefully how you walk— not as unwise, but as wise,
16
redeeming the appointed time, because the days are evil.
17
Because of this, do not become foolish, but understand what the will of Yahuah is.
18
And do not become drunk with wine, in which is reckless excess, but be filled with Ruach,
19
speaking to one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to Yahuah,
20
giving thanks always for all things in the Name of our Master Yahushua the Anointed to Elohim the Father,
21
submitting to one another in reverence of the Anointed.
22
Ishahot, to your own husbands as to the Master,
23
because the ish is head of the ishah, just as the Anointed is head of the assembly, he himself being Deliverer of the body.
24
But just as the assembly is ordered under the Anointed, so also the ishahot toward their husbands in all things.
25
Ishim, love your ishahot, just as the Anointed also loved the assembly and gave himself for her,
26
so that he might set her apart, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the Word,
27
so that he might present the assembly to himself in glory, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing, but so that she might be set apart and without blemish.
28
In the same way the ishim are obligated to love their own ishahot as their own bodies. The one who loves his own ishah loves himself.
29
For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cares for it, just as the Anointed does the assembly,
30
because we are members of his body.
31
“Because of this an ish shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his ishah, and the two shall become one flesh.”
32
This mystery is great, but I am speaking concerning the Anointed and the assembly.
33
Nevertheless, let each one of you love his own ishah as himself, and let the ishah revere her ish.
