1
Paulos, an emissary of Yahushua the Anointed through the will of Elohim, according to the promise of the life that is in Yahushua the Anointed,
2
to Timotheos, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and shalom from Elohim the Father and Yahushua the Anointed, our Master.
3
I give thanks to Elohim, whom I serve from my forefathers with a clean conscience, as without ceasing I remember you in my petitions, night and day.
4
Remembering your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy,
5
being reminded of the sincere trust within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunike, and I am persuaded that it dwells also in you.
6
Because of this I remind you to stir into flame the gift of Elohim which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7
For Elohim did not give us a ruach of fearfulness, but of power, and love, and sound judgment.
8
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Master, nor of me, his prisoner, but share in suffering for the Besorah according to the power of Elohim,
9
who delivered us and called us with a set-apart calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Yahushua the Anointed before the times of the ages,
10
but has now been made manifest through the appearing of our Deliverer, Yahushua the Anointed, who abolished death and brought life and incorruptibility to light through the Besorah,
11
for which I was appointed a herald, an emissary, and a teacher.
12
Because of this I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard what I entrusted to him until that day.
13
Hold firmly the pattern of sound words which you heard from me, in trust and love that are in Yahushua the Anointed.
14
Guard the good deposit entrusted to you through Holy Ruach who dwells within us.
15
You know this: that all those in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelos and Hermogenes.
16
May the Master give mercy to the house of Onesiphoros, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.
17
Rather, when he came to Rome, he searched for me earnestly and found me.
18
May the Master grant him to find mercy from Yahuah in that day. And how much he served in Ephesos, you know very well.
