1
Therefore, since the Anointed suffered in flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding, because the one who has suffered in flesh has ceased from sin,
2
so that he no longer lives the remaining time in flesh according to the desires of Adam, but according to the will of Elohim.
3
For the time that has passed is enough for carrying out the desire of the nations— walking in unrestrained sensual conduct, desires, drunkenness, wild feasting, drinking parties, and unlawful idolatrous practices.
4
In this they are astonished that you do not run with them into the same flood of reckless living, and they blaspheme you.
5
They shall give account to the One ready to judge the living and the dead.
6
For because of this the Besorah was proclaimed even to those who are now dead, so that though judged in flesh according to Adam, they might live in ruach according to Elohim.
7
But the completion of all things has drawn near. Therefore be sober-minded and watchful for prayer.
8
Above all, have earnest love toward one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
9
Show hospitality to one another without murmuring.
10
As each one has received a gift, serve one another with it as good stewards of the manifold favor of Elohim.
11
If anyone speaks, let him speak as words from Elohim. If anyone serves, let him serve from the strength which Elohim supplies, so that in all things Elohim may be glorified through Yahushua the Anointed, to whom belong glory and dominion to the ages of the ages. Amen.
12
Beloved ones, do not be astonished at the fiery trial among you which has come for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you.
13
Rather, to the degree that you share in the sufferings of the Anointed, rejoice, so that also at the revelation of his glory you may rejoice with overflowing joy.
14
If you are insulted because of the Name of the Anointed, you are blessed, because the Ruach of glory and of Elohim rests upon you.
15
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or as one meddling in what belongs to another.
16
But if anyone suffers as one belonging to the Anointed, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify Elohim in this Name.
17
For the appointed time has come for Judgment to begin from the House of Elohim. And if it begins first from us, what shall be the outcome for those who refuse obedience to the Besorah of Elohim?
18
And: “If the righteous one is delivered with difficulty, where shall the wicked and the sinner appear?”
19
Therefore also, let those suffering according to the will of Elohim entrust their beings to a faithful Creator while continuing to do good.
