1
Therefore, while a promise of entering His rest still remains, let us fear lest any one of you should appear to have fallen short of it.
2
For indeed we have had good news proclaimed to us, just as they also did, but the word they heard did not benefit them, not having been united with trust in those who heard.
3
For we who trusted enter the rest, just as He said: “So I swore in My wrath: ‘They shall certainly not enter My rest,’” although His works were completed from the foundation of the world.
4
For He has spoken somewhere concerning the seventh day in this way: “And Elohim rested on the seventh day from all His works.”
5
And again in this place: “They shall certainly not enter My rest.”
6
Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,
7
He again appoints a certain day— “Today”— speaking through Daviyd after so long a time, just as it was said before: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
8
For if Yehoshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken afterward concerning another day.
9
Therefore there remains a Shabbat-rest for the people of Elohim.
10
For the one who entered His rest also rested from his works, just as Elohim did from His own.
11
Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through the same pattern of disobedience.
12
For the Word of Elohim is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the division of being and ruach, of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13
And there is no created thing hidden before Him, but all things are naked and exposed before the eyes of the One to whom our account is due.
14
Therefore, having a great kohen who has passed through the heavens— Yahushua, the Son of Elohim— let us hold firmly our confession.
15
For we do not have a great kohen unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in all things according to likeness, yet without sin.
16
Therefore let us draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for timely help.
