1
Paulos, an enslaved servant of Yahushua the Mashiyach, called as an emissary and separated for Elohim’s good message,
2
which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the set-apart writings,
3
concerning his Son, who came from the seed of Daviyd according to flesh,
4
and was marked out as Son of Elohim in power according to the Spirit of set-apartness by resurrection from the dead: Yahushua the Mashiyach, our Master.
5
Through him we received favor and emissary-service to bring about the obedience of faithfulness among all the nations for his name,
6
among whom you also are called to belong to Yahushua the Mashiyach.
7
To all who are in Roma, loved by Elohim and called as set-apart ones: favor to you and peace from Elohim our Father and the Master Yahushua the Mashiyach.
8
First, I thank my Elohim through Yahushua the Mashiyach for all of you, because your faithfulness is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
9
For Elohim, whom I serve in my spirit in the good message of his Son, is my witness that I remember you continually,
10
always requesting in my prayers that somehow, now at last, I may prosper by Elohim’s will in coming to you.
11
For I long to see you, so that I may share some spiritual gift with you to establish you—
12
that is, so that we may be mutually encouraged among you, each through the other’s faithfulness, both yours and mine.
13
I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers and sisters, that I often intended to come to you but was prevented until now, so that I might have some fruit among you also, as among the rest of the nations.
14
I am indebted both to Hellenes and barbarians, both to the wise and the uncomprehending.
15
Thus, as far as it depends on me, I am eager to announce the good message also to you who are in Roma.
16
For I am not ashamed of the good message, because it is Elohim’s power for deliverance to everyone who trusts—to the Yehudi first and also to the Hellene.
17
For in it Elohim’s righteousness is revealed from faithfulness into faithfulness, as it is written: “The righteous one will live by faithfulness.”
18
For Elohim’s wrath is revealed from heaven against every irreverence and unrighteousness of human beings who suppress truth through unrighteousness,
19
because what can be known of Elohim is manifest among them, for Elohim manifested it to them.
20
For since the world’s creation, his unseen qualities—his everlasting power and divine character—have been perceived through the things made, so that they are without defense.
21
Though they knew Elohim, they did not glorify him as Elohim or give thanks. Instead, they became empty in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.
22
Claiming to be wise, they became foolish,
23
and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible Elohim for an image resembling corruptible human beings, birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things.
24
Therefore Elohim handed them over, through the desires of their hearts, to uncleanness, so that their bodies were dishonored among them.
25
They exchanged Elohim’s truth for the lie and revered and served the created thing rather than the Creator, who is blessed through the ages. Amein.
26
For this reason Elohim handed them over to dishonorable passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for those contrary to nature.
27
Likewise, the males abandoned natural relations with the female and burned in their desire for one another, males working indecency with males and receiving in themselves the return required by their error.
28
And because they did not approve retaining Elohim in knowledge, Elohim handed them over to an unapproved mind, to do what is not fitting.
29
They were filled with every unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and evil disposition; whisperers,
30
slanderers, haters of Elohim, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
31
without understanding, faithless to agreements, without natural affection, and without mercy.
32
Though they know Elohim’s righteous decree—that those practicing such things are worthy of death—they not only do them but also approve those who practice them.
