1
Become imitators of me, just as I also am of the Anointed.
2
Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly the traditions just as I handed them to you.
3
But I desire you to know that the head of every ish is the Anointed, and the head of an ishah is the ish, and the head of the Anointed is Elohim.
4
Every ish praying or prophesying with his head covered dishonors his head.
5
But every ishah praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for it is one and the same as if she were shaven.
6
For if an ishah does not cover, let her hair also be cut off. But if it is shameful for an ishah to have her hair cut or shaved, let her be covered.
7
For an ish ought not to cover his head, being image and glory of Elohim, but ishah is glory of ish.
8
For ish is not from ishah, but ishah from ish.
9
And ish was not created because of ishah, but ishah because of ish.
10
Because of this the ishah ought to have authority upon her head, because of the messengers.
11
Nevertheless, neither is ishah apart from ish, nor ish apart from ishah, in the Master.
12
For just as ishah is from ish, so also ish comes through ishah, but all things are from Elohim.
13
Judge among yourselves: is it fitting for an ishah to pray to Elohim uncovered?
14
Does not even nature itself teach you that if an ish wears long hair, it is a dishonor to him,
15
but if an ishah wears long hair, it is glory to her, because her hair has been given to her for a covering?
16
But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such other custom, nor do the assemblies of Elohim.
17
But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better, but for the worse.
18
For first, when you come together as an assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and in part I trust it.
19
For factions must also be among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you.
20
Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not really to eat the supper of the Master,
21
for in eating, each one takes his own supper before another, and one is hungry while another is drunk.
22
Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the assembly of Elohim and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.
23
For I received from the Master what I also handed over to you: that the Master Yahushua, in the night in which he was handed over, took bread,
24
and having given thanks, he broke it and said: “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
25
In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying: “This cup is the renewed covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in remembrance of me.”
26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Master until he comes.
27
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Master in an unworthy manner shall be accountable concerning the body and blood of the Master.
28
But let an Adam test himself, and so let him eat from the bread and drink from the cup.
29
For the one eating and drinking without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment to himself.
30
Because of this, many among you are weak and sick, and many have fallen asleep.
31
But if we were discerning ourselves, we would not be judged.
32
But being judged by the Master, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.
33
Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34
If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that you do not come together for judgment. And the remaining matters I shall arrange when I come.
