1
Now concerning spiritual matters, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.
2
You know that when you were among the nations, you were being led away toward mute idols, however you were led.
3
Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by Ruach of Elohim says: “Yahushua is accursed,” and no one is able to say: “Yahushua is Master,” except by Holy Ruach.
4
Now there are different gifts, but the same Ruach.
5
And there are different services, but the same Master.
6
And there are different workings, but the same Elohim who works all things in everyone.
7
But to each one is given the manifestation of Ruach for what is beneficial.
8
For to one through Ruach is given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge according to the same Ruach,
9
to another trust by the same Ruach, and to another gifts of restoration by the one Ruach,
10
and to another workings of mighty deeds, and to another prophecy, and to another discernment of ruachot, and to another various tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.
11
But the one and same Ruach works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as he wills.
12
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so also is the Anointed.
13
For by one Ruach we were all immersed into one body— whether Yehudim or Greeks, whether servants or free— and all were given one Ruach to drink.
14
For indeed the body is not one member, but many.
15
If the foot says: “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” it is not for this reason less a part of the body.
16
And if the ear says: “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” it is not for this reason less a part of the body.
17
If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?
18
But now Elohim placed the members, each one of them in the body just as He desired.
19
And if all were one member, where would the body be?
20
But now there are many members, yet one body.
21
And the eye is not able to say to the hand: “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet: “I have no need of you.”
22
Rather, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary,
23
and those we think to be less honorable we surround with greater honor, and our unpresentable members receive greater modesty,
24
while our presentable members have no need. But Elohim composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it,
25
so that there might be no division in the body, but that the members might have the same care for one another.
26
And if one member suffers, all members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all members rejoice with it.
27
Now you are the body of the Anointed and individually members of it.
28
And Elohim appointed in the assembly: first emissaries, second prophets, third teachers, then mighty works, then gifts of restoration, helps, administrations, various tongues.
29
Are all emissaries? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all perform mighty deeds?
30
Do all have gifts of restoration? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
31
But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And still I show you a way beyond comparison.
