1
For we know that if our earthly tent-house is dismantled, we have a building from Elohim, a house not made by hands, everlasting, in the heavens.
2
For indeed in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from the heavens,
3
if indeed, being clothed, we shall not be found naked.
4
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed over, so that mortality may be swallowed by life.
5
Now the One who prepared us for this very thing is Elohim, who gave us the pledge of Ruach.
6
Therefore, always being confident, and knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Master—
7
for through trust we walk, not through sight—
8
yet we are confident and prefer rather to be away from the body and at home with the Master.
9
Therefore we also make it our aim, whether at home or away, to be pleasing to him.
10
For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of the Anointed, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or evil.
11
Therefore, knowing the fear of Yahuah, we persuade Adam, but to Elohim we have been made manifest, and I hope also to have been made manifest in your consciences.
12
We are not again recommending ourselves to you, but giving you an opportunity to boast on our behalf, so that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
13
For if we were beside ourselves, it was for Elohim. If we are sober-minded, it is for you.
14
For the love of the Anointed constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, therefore all died.
15
And he died for all so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.
16
Therefore from now on we know no one according to flesh. Even if we once knew the Anointed according to flesh, yet now we know him in that manner no longer.
17
Therefore if anyone is in the Anointed, there is renewed creation. The old things passed away. See— new things have come.
18
And all things are from Elohim, who reconciled us to Himself through the Anointed and gave us the service of reconciliation,
19
namely, that Elohim was in the Anointed reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and placing in us the Word of reconciliation.
20
Therefore we serve as emissaries on behalf of the Anointed, as though Elohim were appealing through us. We plead on behalf of the Anointed: be reconciled to Elohim.
21
The one who knew no sin He made to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of Elohim.
