1
For concerning the service toward the set-apart ones, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.
2
For I know your readiness, of which I boast concerning you to the Macedonians, that Achaia has been prepared since last year, and your zeal stirred up most of them.
3
But I sent the brothers so that our boasting concerning you might not become empty in this matter, so that, just as I said, you might be prepared,
4
lest somehow, if Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we— not to say you— might be put to shame in this confidence.
5
Therefore I considered it necessary to urge the brothers to go ahead to you and prepare beforehand your previously promised blessing, so that it might be ready as a blessing and not as something extorted.
6
But this: the one sowing sparingly shall also reap sparingly, and the one sowing with blessing shall also reap with blessing.
7
Let each one give just as he has purposed in his heart, not from grief or compulsion, for Elohim loves a cheerful giver.
8
And Elohim is able to make every grace overflow toward you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may overflow toward every good work.
9
Just as it is written: “He scattered abroad. He gave to the poor. His righteousness remains to the age.”
10
Now the One supplying seed to the sower and bread for food shall supply and multiply your seed and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
11
being enriched in everything toward all generosity, which works through us thanksgiving to Elohim.
12
For the service of this ministry is not only filling up what is lacking among the set-apart ones, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to Elohim.
13
Through the proof of this service, they glorify Elohim because of the submission of your confession toward the Besorah of the Anointed and the generosity of your fellowship toward them and toward all.
14
And in their petition for you, they long for you because of the surpassing grace of Elohim upon you.
15
Thanks be to Elohim for His indescribable gift.
