1
Blessed are You, Yahuah, King of the ages, Maker of all things.
2
You stretched out the heavens and established the earth; You ordered sea and dry land and assigned boundaries to the waters.
3
You gathered the creatures of sea, air, and land, giving each its own nature and provision.
4
You appointed lights for signs and seasons and established the ordered movement of the heavens.
5
You made rain-bearing clouds, lightning, thunder, winds, and the mingling of seasons by which the earth gives food.
6
Your wisdom has not neglected any creature but gives each a fitting providence.
7
The goal of Your creative work is the rational living creature, Adam, a citizen within the ordered world.
8
By Wisdom You said, 'Let Us make Adam according to Our image and likeness.'
9
You fashioned the body from the elements of the earth and called the living soul from what was not.
10
You gave fivefold perception and placed understanding over the senses like a guide holding the reins.
11
Who can adequately recount the paths of clouds, the flashing of lightning, the clashing of thunder, the changes of air, and the provision of food?
12
When Adam disobeyed, mortality came according to judgment.
13
Yet You did not erase the creature absolutely; You caused death to be like a temporary sleep.
14
You established the hope of renewed life and broke the finality of death.
15
Blessed are You, the One who gives life again to the dead.
C1
The Christian recension inserts Christ as the agent of creation at the opening and concludes that resurrection comes through Yahushua the Anointed, 'our hope.'
