1
King Daviyd said to all the assembly, “Shəlomah my son, the one whom the Elohim has chosen, is young and tender; and the work is great, for the citadel is not for Adam, but for Yahuah Elohim.
2
With all my power I have prepared for the House of my Elohim: gold for the gold, silver for the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron, timber for the timber, onyx stones and stones for settings, stones of dark pigment and variegated work, every precious stone, and marble stones in abundance.
3
Moreover, because I delight in the House of my Elohim, I have a personal possession of gold and silver, which I give to the House of my Elohim, beyond all I have prepared for the Set-Apart House:
4
three thousand talents of gold from the gold of Ofir and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses—
5
gold for the gold, silver for the silver, and for every work by the hand of craftsmen. Who then willingly fills his hand today for Yahuah?”
6
Then the commanders of the father-houses, commanders of the tribes of Yisra’el, commanders of thousands and hundreds, and commanders of the king’s work offered willingly.
7
They gave for the service of the House of the Elohim five thousand talents of gold and ten thousand darkonim, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
8
Whoever had stones gave them to the treasury of the House of Yahuah, under the hand of Yechiel the Gershuni.
9
The people rejoiced over their willing offering, for with a whole heart they offered willingly to Yahuah; and King Daviyd also rejoiced with great rejoicing.
10
Daviyd blessed Yahuah before the eyes of all the assembly. Daviyd said, “Blessed are You, Yahuah, Elohim of Yisra’el our Father, from age even unto age.
11
Yours, Yahuah, are the greatness, the might, the splendor, the enduring force, and the majesty; for all in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours, Yahuah, is the reign, and You are lifted above all as Head.
12
Riches and weight come from before You, and You rule over all. In Your hand are power and might, and in Your hand it is to make great and to strengthen all.
13
And now, our Elohim, we give thanks to You and praise Your splendid name.
14
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should retain power to offer willingly like this? For all is from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
15
For we are sojourners before You and settlers, as all our fathers were. Our days upon the earth are like a shadow, and there is no expectation.
16
Yahuah our Elohim, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a House for Your set-apart name is from Your hand, and all is Yours.
17
I know, my Elohim, that You examine the heart and delight in straightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these; and now I have seen with rejoicing Your people who are found here willingly offering to You.
18
Yahuah, Elohim of Avraham, Yitzchaq, and Yisra’el our fathers, guard this perpetually in the formation of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and establish their heart toward You.
19
And give Shəlomah my son a whole heart to guard Your commands, Your witnesses, and Your statutes, to do all and to build the citadel for which I have prepared.”
20
Daviyd said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahuah your Elohim.” And all the assembly blessed Yahuah, Elohim of their fathers; they bowed down and prostrated themselves to Yahuah and to the king.
21
They slaughtered slaughterings to Yahuah and lifted ascending offerings to Yahuah on the morrow of that day: one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, one thousand lambs, and their drink offerings, with slaughterings in abundance for all Yisra’el.
22
They ate and drank before Yahuah on that day with great rejoicing. They made Shəlomah son of Daviyd king a second time and anointed him to Yahuah as ruler, and Tzadoq as Kohen.
23
Shəlomah sat upon the throne of Yahuah as king in place of Daviyd his father, and he prospered; and all Yisra’el obeyed him.
24
All the commanders, the mighty ones, and also all the sons of King Daviyd gave the hand under King Shəlomah.
25
Yahuah made Shəlomah exceedingly great before the eyes of all Yisra’el and gave upon him the majesty of a reign such as had not been upon any king over Yisra’el before him.
26
Daviyd son of Yishai reigned over all Yisra’el.
27
The days that he reigned over Yisra’el were forty years: in Chevron he reigned seven years, and in Yerushalayim he reigned thirty-three.
28
He died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and weight; and Shəlomah his son reigned in his place.
29
The matters of King Daviyd, the first and the last, see, they are written in the matters of Shemu’el the seer, in the matters of Natan the Navi, and in the matters of Gad the seer,
30
with all his reign and his might, and the times that passed over him, over Yisra’el, and over all the reigns of the lands.
