1
From him He brought forth an ish of compassion who found favor in the eyes of all flesh, beloved by Elohim and Adam: Mosheh, whose remembrance is within blessings.
2
He likened him in splendor to the set-apart ones and made him great to the terror of enemies.
3
By his words He caused signs to cease; He gave him splendor before kings. He gave him Command concerning His people and showed him a portion of His splendor.
4
In trust and gentleness He set him apart and chose him from all flesh.
5
He caused him to hear His Voice, brought him into the dark cloud, and gave him Commands Face to face: the Torah of life and knowledge, to teach Yaaqov the Covenant and Yisra’el His Right-Rulings.
6
He raised Aharon, a set-apart one like him, his brother from the tribe of Lewi.
7
He established with him an everlasting Covenant and gave him the priesthood of the people. He blessed him with good order and girded him with a robe of splendor.
8
He clothed him with the completion of boasting and strengthened him with vessels of might: breeches, long robe, and shoulder-piece.
9
He surrounded him with pomegranates and many golden bells all around, to sound with every step and make their voice heard in the Temple, as a remembrance for the sons of his people.
10
He clothed him with a set-apart garment of gold, blue-purple, and purple, the work of an embroiderer; with the breastpiece of Judgment, the revelations of Truth, spun scarlet, the work of a craftsman;
11
with precious stones engraved like seals in settings of gold, the work of a stonecutter, engraved in writing as a remembrance according to the number of the tribes of Yisra’el;
12
with a golden crown above the turban, an engraved seal of the set-apart place, a boast of honor, a work of might, an ornament desirable to the eyes.
13
Such beautiful things had not existed before him. No foreigner ever put them on, but only his sons and his offspring continually.
14
His sacrifices were wholly consumed continually, twice each day.
15
Mosheh filled his hands and anointed him with set-apart oil. It became an everlasting Covenant for him and his seed for all the days of heaven: to minister to Him, serve as Kohen, and bless His people in the Name.
16
He chose him from every living one to bring fruit-offering to Yahuah, incense and sweet aroma as a remembrance, to make atonement for His people.
17
He gave him authority within His Commands over Covenants of Right-Rulings, to teach Yaaqov the testimonies and enlighten Yisra’el within His Torah.
18
Foreigners gathered against him and were jealous of him in the wilderness: the men belonging to Datan and Aviram, and the assembly of Qorah, in wrath and anger.
19
Yahuah saw and took no delight, and they reached completion in wrathful anger. He worked wonders against them, consuming them in the flame of His fire.
20
He added splendor to Aharon and gave him an inheritance. He apportioned to him the firstfruits of first produce and prepared bread for fullness.
21
For they eat the sacrifices of Yahuah, which He gave to him and to his seed.
22
Yet he inherits no land among the people and has no portion among the people, for He Himself is your portion and inheritance.
23
Pinchas son of El’azar was third in splendor when he was zealous in reverence of Yahuah and stood firm when the people turned away, in the good willingness of his being; and he made atonement for Yisra’el.
24
Therefore a Covenant of shalom was established with him: to oversee the set-apart place and His people, that the greatness of priesthood might belong to him and his seed unto the ages.
25
There was also a Covenant with Daviyd son of Yishai from the tribe of Yehudah: the inheritance of the king passes from son to son alone; the inheritance of Aharon also belongs to his seed.
26
May He give you Wisdom within your heart to judge His people in righteousness, that their good things may not disappear and their splendor may endure through their generations.
