1
After him Natan arose to prophesy in the days of Daviyd.
2
As fat is separated from a salvation-offering, so Daviyd was separated from the sons of Yisra’el.
3
He played with lions as with young goats and with bears as with lambs of the flock.
4
In his youth did he not slay a giant and remove reproach from the people, when he raised his hand with a sling-stone and cast down the boasting of Golyat?
5
For he called upon Yahuah El Elyon, who gave strength to his right hand to remove an ish mighty in war and raise the horn of His people.
6
Thus they gave him splendor among ten thousands and praised him with the blessings of Yahuah when a diadem of splendor was brought to him.
7
For he crushed enemies on every side, reduced the opposing Pelishtim to nothing, and shattered their horn unto this day.
8
In every work he gave thanksgiving to the Set-Apart El Elyon with a word of splendor. With all his heart he sang praise and loved the One who made him.
9
He stationed singers before the slaughter-place to sweeten melodies through their sound.
10
He gave beauty to feasts and ordered appointed times unto completion, that they should praise His set-apart Name and make the set-apart place resound from morning.
11
Yahuah took away his sins, raised his horn unto the age, and gave him a Covenant of kings and a throne of splendor in Yisra’el.
12
After him arose a son of knowledge, and because of Daviyd he dwelt in spaciousness.
13
Shelomoh reigned in days of shalom; Elohim gave him rest on every side so that he might establish a House for His Name and prepare a set-apart place unto the age.
14
How wise you were in your youth, filled like a river with understanding.
15
Your being covered the earth, and you filled it with parables and riddles.
16
Your name reached distant islands, and you were loved within your shalom.
17
Lands marveled at you for songs, proverbs, parables, and interpretations.
18
In the Name of Yahuah Elohim, who is called the Elohim of Yisra’el, you gathered gold like tin and multiplied silver like lead.
19
You inclined your loins to women and were brought under authority within your body.
20
You placed a blemish upon your splendor and profaned your seed, bringing wrath upon your children and piercing them through your foolishness.
21
The rule was divided in two, and from Ephrayim began a disobedient kingdom.
22
Yet Yahuah shall not abandon His compassion or destroy any of His Words. He shall not wipe away the offspring of His chosen one or remove the seed of the one who loved Him. He gave a remnant to Yaaqov and from Daviyd a root.
23
Shelomoh rested with his fathers and left after him from his seed Rechav’am, foolishness of the people and diminished in understanding, who drove the people away through his counsel.
24
And Yarov’am son of Nevat caused Yisra’el to sin and gave Ephrayim a Way of sin. Their sins multiplied exceedingly until they were removed from their land.
25
They searched out every evil until vengeance came upon them.
