And these are the generations of the sons of Noach: Shem, Cham, and Yafet. And sons were born to them after the flood.

The sons of Yafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Yavan, Tuval, Meshekh, and Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Rifat, and Togarmah.

And the sons of Yavan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

From these the coastlands of the nations were divided in their lands, each according to his tongue, according to their families, within their nations.

And the sons of Cham: Kush, Mitzrayim, Put, and Kena’an.
7
And the sons of Kush: Seva, Chavilah, Savtah, Raamah, and Savtekha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheva and Dedan.

And Kush brought forth Nimrod. He began to become mighty upon the earth.
9
He was a mighty hunter before Yahuah. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahuah.”
10
And the beginning of his kingdom was Bavel, Erekh, Akkad, and Kalneh, in the land of Shinar.
11
From that land he went forth to Ashur and built Nineveh, Rechovot-Ir, Kelach,
12
and Resen between Nineveh and Kelach; that is the great city.
13
And Mitzrayim brought forth Ludim, Anamim, Lehavim, Naftuchim,
14
Patrusim, Kasluchim—from whom came the Pelishtim—and Kaftorim.
15
And Kena’an brought forth Tzidon his firstborn, and Chet,
16
and the Yevusi, the Emori, the Girgashi,
17
the Chivvi, the Arqi, the Sini,
18
the Arvadi, the Tzemari, and the Chamati. And afterward the families of the Kena’ani spread abroad.
19
And the border of the Kena’ani was from Tzidon, as you come toward Gerar, as far as Azzah; as you come toward Sedom and Amorah, Admah and Tzevoyim, as far as Lasha.
20
These are the sons of Cham, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, within their nations.
21
And to Shem also children were born. He was the father of all the sons of Ever, and the brother of Yafet the elder.

The sons of Shem: Elam, Ashur, Arpakhshad, Lud, and Aram.
23
And the sons of Aram: Utz, Chul, Geter, and Mash.
24
And Arpakhshad brought forth Shelach, and Shelach brought forth Ever.
25
And to Ever were born two sons. The name of the first was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother was Yoqtan.

And Yoqtan brought forth Almodad, Shelef, Chatzarmavet, Yerach,

Hadoram, Uzal, Diqlah,
28
Oval, Avimael, Sheva,
29
Ofir, Chavilah, and Yovav. All these were sons of Yoqtan.
30
And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you come toward Sefar, the mountain of the east.
31
These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations.
32
These are the families of the sons of Noach, according to their generations, within their nations. And from these the nations were divided upon the earth after the flood.
