1
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “Go in to Pharaoh and speak to him: ‘Thus says Yahuah, Elohim of the Ivrim: Send My people away, that they may serve Me.
2
For if you refuse to send them away, and still hold them,
3
see: the hand of Yahuah shall be upon your livestock that are in the field—upon the horses, upon the donkeys, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks—with an exceedingly severe pestilence.
4
And Yahuah will make a distinction between the livestock of Yisra’el and the livestock of Mitzrayim, and nothing shall die from all that belongs to the sons of Yisra’el.’”
5
And Yahuah set an appointed time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahuah shall do this thing in the land.”
6
And Yahuah did this thing on the next day, and all the livestock of Mitzrayim died; but from the livestock of the sons of Yisra’el, not one died.
7
And Pharaoh sent, and see: not even one from the livestock of Yisra’el had died. But the heart of Pharaoh was heavy, and he did not send the people away.
8
And Yahuah said to Mosheh and to Aharon, “Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a furnace, and let Mosheh scatter it toward the heavens before the eyes of Pharaoh.
9
And it shall become fine dust over all the land of Mitzrayim, and it shall become boils breaking forth in sores upon Adam and upon beast throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.”
10
And they took soot from the furnace and stood before Pharaoh, and Mosheh scattered it toward the heavens. And it became boils breaking forth in sores upon Adam and upon beast.
11
And the diviners were not able to stand before Mosheh because of the boils, for the boils were upon the diviners and upon all the Mitzrim.
12
And Yahuah strengthened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not listen to them, according to what Yahuah had spoken to Mosheh.
13
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘Thus says Yahuah, Elohim of the Ivrim: Send My people away, that they may serve Me.
14
For this time I am sending all My plagues toward your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people, so that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.
15
For now I could have stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.
16
But for this reason I have caused you to stand: to show you My power, and so that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17
Still you raise yourself against My people, refusing to send them away.
18
See: tomorrow at this time I will cause exceedingly heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Mitzrayim from the day it was founded until now.
19
And now, send and gather your livestock and all that you have in the field into shelter. Every Adam and beast found in the field and not gathered into the house—the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.’”
20
The one among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of Yahuah caused his servants and his livestock to flee into the houses.
21
But the one who did not set his heart toward the word of Yahuah left his servants and his livestock in the field.
22
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, and let there be hail throughout all the land of Mitzrayim, upon Adam and upon beast and upon every plant of the field in the land of Mitzrayim.”
23
And Mosheh stretched out his staff toward the heavens, and Yahuah gave thunder and hail, and fire went toward the earth. And Yahuah caused hail to rain upon the land of Mitzrayim.
24
And there was hail, and fire flashing continually within the hail, exceedingly heavy, such as had not been in all the land of Mitzrayim since it became a nation.
25
And the hail struck throughout all the land of Mitzrayim everything that was in the field, from Adam to beast. And the hail struck every plant of the field and shattered every tree of the field.
26
Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Yisra’el were, there was no hail.
27
And Pharaoh sent and called Mosheh and Aharon and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahuah is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28
Plead to Yahuah, for there has been enough thunder of Elohim and hail. And I will send you away, and you shall remain no longer.”
29
And Mosheh said to him, “When I go out from the city, I will spread out my hands to Yahuah. The thunder shall cease, and the hail shall be no more, so that you may know that the earth belongs to Yahuah.
30
But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear Yahuah Elohim.”
31
And the flax and the barley were struck, because the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bloom.
32
But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, because they were late crops.
33
And Mosheh went out from Pharaoh, out of the city, and spread out his hands to Yahuah. And the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34
And Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunder had ceased, and he sinned again and made his heart heavy, he and his servants.
35
And the heart of Pharaoh was strengthened, and he did not send the sons of Yisra’el away, according to what Yahuah had spoken by the hand of Mosheh.
