1
And Miryam and Aharon spoke against Mosheh because of the Kushit ishah whom he had taken, for he had taken a Kushit ishah.
2
And they said, “Has Yahuah spoken only through Mosheh? Has He not also spoken through us?” And Yahuah heard.
3
And the ish Mosheh was exceedingly humble, more than every Adam who was upon the face of the earth.
4
And suddenly Yahuah said to Mosheh, and to Aharon, and to Miryam, “Go out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting.” And the three of them went out.
5
And Yahuah came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tent, and called Aharon and Miryam, and the two of them came forward.
6
And He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahuah, make Myself known to him in a vision; in a dream I speak with him.
7
Not so with My servant Mosheh. In all My house he is faithful.
8
Mouth to mouth I speak with him, clearly, and not in riddles, and the form of Yahuah he beholds. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant, against Mosheh?”
9
And the anger of Yahuah burned against them, and He departed.
10
And the cloud turned away from over the Tent, and see: Miryam was struck with tzara’at, white as snow. And Aharon turned toward Miryam, and see: she had tzara’at.
11
And Aharon said to Mosheh, “Please, my master, do not place upon us this sin in which we acted foolishly and in which we sinned.
12
Please, do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out from the womb of his mother.”
13
And Mosheh cried out to Yahuah, saying, “El, please heal her—please!”
14
And Yahuah said to Mosheh, “If her father had spitting, spit in her face, would she not bear shame seven days? Let her be shut outside the camp seven days, and afterward she shall be gathered in.”
15
And Miryam was shut outside the camp seven days, and the people did not journey until Miryam was gathered in.
16
And afterward the people journeyed from Chatzerot and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
