1
“And it shall be, if listening, you surely listen to the voice of Yahuah your Elohim, to guard to do all His commandments that I command you today, then Yahuah your Elohim will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
2
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you listen to the voice of Yahuah your Elohim.
3
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.
4
Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your livestock, the offspring of your cattle and the increase of your flock.
5
Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6
Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
7
Yahuah will cause your enemies who rise against you to be struck before your face. By one way they shall come out against you, and by seven ways they shall flee before your face.
8
Yahuah will command the blessing upon you in your storehouses and in all to which you put your hand, and He will bless you in the land that Yahuah your Elohim is giving you.
9
Yahuah will establish you for Himself as a holy people, according to what He swore to you, if you guard the commandments of Yahuah your Elohim and walk in His ways.
10
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that the name of Yahuah is called upon you, and they shall fear you.
11
And Yahuah will cause you to abound in good, in the fruit of your womb, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, upon the land that Yahuah swore to your fathers to give you.
12
Yahuah will open for you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its appointed time and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
13
And Yahuah will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall be only above and not beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahuah your Elohim that I command you today, to guard and to do them,
14
and do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other elohim to serve them.
15
But it shall be, if you do not listen to the voice of Yahuah your Elohim, to guard to do all His commandments and His statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.
16
Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.
17
Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
18
Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your ground, the offspring of your cattle and the increase of your flock.
19
Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
20
Yahuah will send upon you curse, confusion, and rebuke in all to which you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your deeds by which you have forsaken Me.
21
Yahuah will cause pestilence to cling to you until He has consumed you from upon the land into which you are going to possess it.
22
Yahuah will strike you with wasting disease, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with burning heat, and with the sword, and with blight, and with mildew, and they shall pursue you until you perish.
23
And your heavens that are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth beneath you shall be iron.
24
Yahuah will make the rain of your land powder and dust; from the heavens it shall come down upon you until you are destroyed.
25
Yahuah will cause you to be struck before your enemies. By one way you shall go out against them, and by seven ways you shall flee before their face, and you shall become a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
26
And your corpse shall become food for every bird of the heavens and for the beast of the earth, and there shall be no one to frighten them away.
27
Yahuah will strike you with the boils of Mitzrayim, and with tumors, and with scabs, and with itch, from which you cannot be healed.
28
Yahuah will strike you with madness, and with blindness, and with bewilderment of heart.
29
And you shall grope at midday as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not cause your ways to prosper. And you shall be only oppressed and plundered all the days, and there shall be no one to save.
30
You shall betroth an ishah, and another ish shall lie with her. You shall build a house and not dwell in it. You shall plant a vineyard and not begin to use its fruit.
31
Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, and you shall not eat from it. Your donkey shall be torn away from before your face and shall not return to you. Your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and there shall be no one to save you.
32
Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall see and fail with longing for them all the day, and there shall be no power in your hand.
33
The fruit of your ground and all your labor shall be eaten by a people whom you have not known, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed all the days.
34
And you shall become mad because of the sight of your eyes that you shall see.
35
Yahuah will strike you upon the knees and upon the legs with evil boils from which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot even to the crown of your head.
36
Yahuah will bring you, and your king whom you set over yourself, to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other elohim, wood and stone.
37
And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a taunt among all the peoples where Yahuah drives you.
38
Much seed you shall carry out to the field, but little you shall gather in, for the locust shall consume it.
39
Vineyards you shall plant and serve, but wine you shall not drink nor gather grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
40
Olive trees shall be yours throughout all your border, but you shall not anoint yourself with oil, for your olive shall drop its fruit.
41
Sons and daughters you shall father, but they shall not be yours, for they shall go into captivity.
42
All your trees and the fruit of your ground the locust shall possess.
43
The sojourner who is in your midst shall rise above you higher and higher, while you shall descend lower and lower.
44
He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
45
And all these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not listen to the voice of Yahuah your Elohim, to guard His commandments and His statutes that He commanded you.
46
And they shall be upon you as a sign and as a wonder, and upon your seed forever.
47
Because you did not serve Yahuah your Elohim with joy and with goodness of heart because of the abundance of all things,
48
therefore you shall serve your enemies whom Yahuah sends against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in lack of all things. And He shall place a yoke of iron upon your neck until He has destroyed you.
49
Yahuah will lift up against you a nation from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down, a nation whose tongue you shall not understand,
50
a nation fierce of face, which shall not lift up the face of the old nor show favor to the young.
51
And it shall eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your ground until you are destroyed, which shall leave you neither grain, nor new wine, nor oil, nor the offspring of your cattle, nor the increase of your flock, until it has caused you to perish.
52
And it shall besiege you within all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. And it shall besiege you within all your gates throughout all your land that Yahuah your Elohim has given you.
53
And you shall eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom Yahuah your Elohim has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you.
54
The ish among you who is tender and exceedingly delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the ishah of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his sons whom he leaves,
55
so that he will not give to any of them from the flesh of his sons whom he eats, because nothing is left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you within all your gates.
56
The tender and delicate ishah among you, who because of delicateness and tenderness would not venture to set the sole of her foot upon the earth, her eye shall be evil toward the ish of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57
and toward her afterbirth that comes out from between her feet, and toward her sons whom she bears, for she shall eat them secretly for lack of all things, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you within your gates.
58
If you do not guard to do all the words of this Torah that are written in this sefer, to fear this honored and fearsome Name—Yahuah your Elohim—
59
then Yahuah will make your plagues extraordinary, and the plagues of your seed, great and enduring plagues, and evil and enduring sicknesses.
60
And He will return upon you all the diseases of Mitzrayim before which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you.
61
Also every sickness and every plague that is not written in this sefer of the Torah, Yahuah will bring upon you until you are destroyed.
62
And you shall remain few in number, though you were as the stars of the heavens for multitude, because you did not listen to the voice of Yahuah your Elohim.
63
And it shall be, as Yahuah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Yahuah will rejoice over you to cause you to perish and to destroy you, and you shall be torn away from upon the land into which you are going to possess it.
64
And Yahuah will scatter you among all the peoples, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth, and there you shall serve other elohim whom neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.
65
And among those nations you shall find no rest, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot. And Yahuah will give you there a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a despairing being.
66
And your life shall hang in uncertainty before you, and you shall fear night and day, and you shall not trust in your life.
67
In the morning you shall say, ‘Who would give that it were evening!’ And in the evening you shall say, ‘Who would give that it were morning!’ because of the fear of your heart that you shall fear and because of the sight of your eyes that you shall see.
68
And Yahuah will return you to Mitzrayim in ships, by the way of which I said to you, ‘You shall never again see it.’ And there you shall offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male servants and as female servants, but there shall be no buyer.”
