1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying,
2
“You shall not take an ishah for yourself, nor shall you have sons or daughters in this place.”
3
For thus says Yahuah concerning the sons and the daughters born in this place, concerning their mothers who bear them, and concerning their fathers who cause them to be born in this land:
4
“They shall die deaths of sickness. They shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried. They shall become dung upon the face of the ground. By sword and famine they shall be consumed, and their corpses shall become food for the birds of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.”
5
For thus says Yahuah: “Do not enter the house of mourning; do not go to lament, and do not mourn for them. For I have gathered away My shalom from this people,” declares Yahuah, “even covenant-faithfulness and compassion.
6
Both great and small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried, and none shall lament for them; none shall cut himself or make baldness for them.
7
They shall not break bread for them in mourning to comfort one concerning the dead, nor shall they give them the cup of consolation to drink concerning one’s father or one’s mother.
8
And you shall not enter a house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.”
9
For thus says Yahuah of Hosts, Elohim of Yisra’el: “See, I am causing to cease from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
10
And it shall be when you declare to this people all these Words, and they say to you, ‘Because of what has Yahuah spoken all this great evil against us? What is our crookedness? What is our sin that we have sinned against Yahuah our Elohim?’
11
Then you shall say to them, ‘Because your fathers forsook Me,’ declares Yahuah, ‘and walked after other elohim, and served them and bowed themselves to them, and forsook Me, and did not guard My Torah.
12
And you have done more evil than your fathers. See, each ish walks after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so as not to hear Me.
13
Therefore I shall cast you out from this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other elohim day and night, because I shall show you no favor.’
14
Therefore see, days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when it shall no longer be said, ‘Yahuah lives, who brought the sons of Yisra’el up from the land of Mitzrayim,’
15
but, ‘Yahuah lives, who brought the sons of Yisra’el up from the land of the north and from all the lands to which He had driven them.’ For I shall return them to their ground that I gave to their fathers.
16
See, I am sending for many fishers,” declares Yahuah, “and they shall fish them. And afterward I shall send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from upon every mountain and every hill, and from the clefts of the rocks.
17
For My eyes are upon all their ways; they are not hidden from before My face. Their crookedness is not concealed from before My eyes.
18
And first I shall repay double for their crookedness and their sin, because they profaned My land with the corpses of their detestable things, and filled My Inheritance with their abominations.”
19
Yahuah, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress, to You the nations shall come from the ends of the earth and say, “Surely our fathers inherited falsehood, breath, and things in which there is no profit.”
20
Can Adam make elohim for himself, though they are not elohim?
21
“Therefore see, I am causing them to know— this time I shall cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is Yahuah.”
