1
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the flock of My pasture,” declares Yahuah.
2
Therefore thus says Yahuah, Elohim of Yisra’el, concerning the shepherds shepherding My people: “You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and you have not visited them. See, I am visiting upon you the evil of your deeds,” declares Yahuah.
3
“And I Myself shall gather the remnant of My flock from all the lands to which I drove them, and shall return them to their folds. And they shall bear fruit and multiply.
4
And I shall raise shepherds over them who shall shepherd them. They shall no longer fear or be shattered, nor shall any be missing,” declares Yahuah.
5
“See, days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when I shall raise for Daviyd a righteous Branch. And a Sovereign shall reign and act wisely, and shall do Judgment and Righteousness in the land.
6
In His days Yehudah shall be saved, and Yisra’el shall dwell in security. And this is His Name by which He shall be called: Yahuah Our Righteousness.
7
Therefore see, days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when they shall no longer say, ‘Yahuah lives, who brought the sons of Yisra’el up from the land of Mitzrayim,’
8
but, ‘Yahuah lives, who brought up and who brought the seed of the House of Yisra’el from the land of the north and from all the lands to which I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell upon their own ground.”
9
Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones shake. I have become like a drunken ish, like an ish overcome by wine, before the face of Yahuah and before the face of His set-apart Words.
10
For the land is full of adulterers. Because of the curse, the land mourns; the pastures of the wilderness are dried. Their course is evil, and their might is not upright.
11
“For both prophet and Kohen are profane. Even in My House I found their evil,” declares Yahuah.
12
“Therefore their way shall become to them like slippery places in thick darkness. They shall be driven and fall in it, for I shall bring evil upon them in the year of their visitation,” declares Yahuah.
13
“And among the prophets of Shomron I saw foolishness: they prophesied by Baal and caused My people Yisra’el to wander.
14
And among the prophets of Yerushalayim I saw a horrible thing: committing adultery, walking in falsehood, and strengthening the hands of evildoers, so that no ish turns from his evil. All of them have become to Me like Sedom, and her inhabitants like Amorah.”
15
Therefore thus says Yahuah of Hosts concerning the prophets: “See, I am feeding them wormwood and giving them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Yerushalayim profaneness has gone out into all the land.”
16
Thus says Yahuah of Hosts: “Do not hear the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They cause you to become empty. They speak a vision from their own heart, not from the Mouth of Yahuah.
17
Saying, they say to those despising Me, ‘Yahuah has spoken: Shalom shall be yours.’ And to everyone walking in the stubbornness of his heart they say, ‘No evil shall come upon you.’
18
For who has stood in the counsel of Yahuah, that he may see and hear His Word? Who has given attention to My Word and heard it?
19
See, the storm wind of Yahuah—fury has gone forth; a whirling storm shall whirl upon the head of the wicked.
20
The anger of Yahuah shall not turn back until He has done and until He has established the purposes of His heart. In the latter days you shall understand it with understanding.
21
I did not send the prophets, yet they ran. I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.
22
But if they had stood in My counsel and caused My people to hear My Words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds.
23
Am I an Elohim near,” declares Yahuah, “and not an Elohim far away?
24
Can an ish hide himself in secret places so that I do not see him?” declares Yahuah. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares Yahuah.
25
“I have heard what the prophets said, who prophesy falsehood in My Name, saying, ‘I dreamed, I dreamed.’
26
How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy falsehood— prophets of the deceit of their own heart—
27
who purpose to cause My people to forget My Name by their dreams that each ish recounts to his companion, as their fathers forgot My Name through Baal?
28
The prophet who has a dream, let him recount the dream. And the one who has My Word, let him speak My Word in truth. What is the straw to the grain?” declares Yahuah.
29
“Is not My Word like fire?” declares Yahuah, “and like a hammer that shatters rock?
30
Therefore see, I am against the prophets,” declares Yahuah, “who steal My Words, each ish from his companion.
31
See, I am against the prophets,” declares Yahuah, “who take their tongues and declare, ‘He declares.’
32
See, I am against those prophesying false dreams,” declares Yahuah, “who recount them and cause My people to wander by their falsehoods and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them, and profiting, they do not profit this people,” declares Yahuah.
33
“And when this people, or the prophet, or a Kohen asks you, ‘What is the burden of Yahuah?’ then you shall say to them, ‘What burden? I shall forsake you,’ declares Yahuah.
34
And the prophet, the Kohen, or the people who say, ‘The burden of Yahuah,’ I shall visit that ish and his house.
35
Thus each ish shall say to his companion and each ish to his brother: ‘What has Yahuah answered?’ and ‘What has Yahuah spoken?’
36
But you shall no longer remember ‘the burden of Yahuah,’ for the word of each ish becomes his burden; and you have twisted the Words of the living Elohim, Yahuah of Hosts, our Elohim.
37
Thus you shall say to the prophet: ‘What has Yahuah answered you?’ and ‘What has Yahuah spoken?’
38
But if you say, ‘The burden of Yahuah,’ therefore thus says Yahuah: ‘Because you say this word, “The burden of Yahuah,” though I sent to you, saying, “You shall not say, ‘The burden of Yahuah,’”
39
therefore see, forgetting, I shall forget you and cast you and the city I gave to you and your fathers away from before My face.
40
And I shall place upon you an everlasting reproach and an everlasting humiliation that shall not be forgotten.’”
