1
The Word of Yahuah that came to Yirmeyahu the prophet concerning the Pelishtim, before Pharaoh struck Azzah.
2
Thus says Yahuah: “See, waters rise from the north and shall become an overflowing wadi. They shall overflow the land and its fullness, the city and those dwelling in it. Adam shall cry out, and every inhabitant of the land shall howl.
3
At the sound of the stamping hooves of his mighty ones, at the noise of his chariots, at the tumult of his wheels, fathers shall not turn toward their sons because of the slackness of their hands,
4
because of the day that comes to destroy all the Pelishtim, to cut off from Tzor and Tzidon every surviving helper. For Yahuah is destroying the Pelishtim, the remnant of the coastland of Kaphtor.
5
Baldness has come upon Azzah; Ashqelon is silenced— the remnant of their valley. How long shall you cut yourself?
6
Ah, sword of Yahuah! How long until you become quiet? Gather yourself into your sheath; rest and be still.
7
How can it become quiet when Yahuah has commanded it? Against Ashqelon and against the seacoast— there He appointed it.”
