1
A melody of Daviyd. To bring to remembrance.
2
Yahuah, do not correct me in Your wrath, nor discipline me in Your burning anger.
3
For Your arrows have descended into me, and Your hand has descended upon me.
4
There is no wholeness in my flesh because of Your indignation; there is no shalom in my bones because of my sin.
5
For my crookednesses have passed over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
6
My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness.
7
I am bent and bowed greatly; all day I walk in darkness.
8
For my loins are filled with burning, and there is no wholeness in my flesh.
9
I am faint and crushed exceedingly; I roar from the groaning of my heart.
10
Adonai, all my desire is before You, and my sighing is not hidden from You.
11
My heart throbs; my strength has forsaken me, and the light of my eyes— even that is not with me.
12
My loved ones and my companions stand away from my wound, and those near me stand far off.
13
Those seeking my life lay snares; those seeking my evil speak destruction and murmur deceit all day.
14
But I am like one deaf who does not hear, and like one mute who does not open his mouth.
15
I am like an ish who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no arguments.
16
For in You, Yahuah, I wait. You answer, Adonai my Elohim.
17
For I said, “Lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.”
18
For I am ready to stumble, and my pain is continually before me.
19
I declare my crookedness; I am anxious over my sin.
20
But my enemies are alive and strong; those hating me by falsehood have multiplied.
21
Those repaying evil for good oppose me because I pursue good.
22
Do not forsake me, Yahuah. My Elohim, do not be far from me.
23
Hurry to my help, Adonai of my Salvation.
