1
To the Overseer. A Maskiyl of the sons of Qorach.
2
As a deer longs for channels of water, so my being longs for You, Elohim.
3
My being thirsts for Elohim, for the living El. When do I come and appear before the face of Elohim?
4
My tears have become my bread day and night, while they say to me all day, “Where is your Elohim?”
5
These I remember, and I pour out my being within me: how I passed with the multitude, leading them in procession to the House of Elohim, with the voice of joyful shouting and thanksgiving— a multitude keeping festival.
6
Why are you bowed down, my being? Why do you roar within me? Wait for Elohim, for I again praise Him, the Salvation of His face.
7
My Elohim, my being is bowed down within me; therefore I remember You from the land of Yarden, from the Chermonim and Mount Mitzar.
8
Deep calls to deep at the voice of Your waterfalls; all Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me.
9
By day Yahuah commands His covenant-love, and by night His song is with me— a prayer to the El of my life.
10
I say to El my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I walk in darkness because of the oppression of the enemy?”
11
With murder in my bones my adversaries reproach me, while they say to me all day, “Where is your Elohim?”
12
Why are you bowed down, my being? Why do you roar within me? Wait for Elohim, for I again praise Him, the Salvation of my face and my Elohim.
