1
To the Overseer, Al-Tashchet. A Miktam of Daviyd, when he fled from the face of Sha’ul into the cave.
2
Show favor to me, Elohim, show favor to me, for in You my being seeks refuge; in the shadow of Your wings I seek refuge until destruction passes.
3
I call to Elohim Elyon, to El who completes all for me.
4
He sends from the heavens and saves me; He reproaches the one panting after me. Selah. Elohim sends His covenant-love and His Truth.
5
My being is among lions; I lie among those burning—sons of Adam, whose teeth are spear and arrows, whose tongue is a sharp sword.
6
Be exalted above the heavens, Elohim; let Your Glory be over all the earth.
7
They prepared a net for my steps; my being was bowed. They dug a pit before my face; they fell into its midst. Selah.
8
My heart is established, Elohim; my heart is established. I sing and make melody.
9
Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I awaken the dawn.
10
I thank You among peoples, Adonai; I make melody to You among nations.
11
For Your covenant-love is great to the heavens, and Your Truth to the clouds.
12
Be exalted above the heavens, Elohim; let Your Glory be over all the earth.
