1
To the Overseer, Al-Tashchet. A Miktam of Daviyd, when Sha’ul sent and they guarded the house to put him to death.
2
Deliver me from my enemies, my Elohim; set me securely above those rising against me.
3
Deliver me from workers of crookedness, and save me from men of blood.
4
For see, they lie in wait for my being; strong ones gather against me, not for my transgression or my sin, Yahuah.
5
Without crookedness in me they run and prepare. Awake to meet me and see.
6
You, Yahuah Elohim of Hosts, Elohim of Yisra’el, awake to attend to all the nations. Show no favor to any treacherous workers of crookedness. Selah.
7
They return at evening; they growl like a dog and circle the city.
8
See, they pour forth with their mouth; swords are in their lips, for they say, “Who hears?”
9
But You, Yahuah, laugh at them; You hold all nations in derision.
10
O my Strength, toward You I watch, for Elohim is my high refuge.
11
The Elohim of my covenant-love meets me; Elohim lets me look upon those watching me.
12
Do not kill them, lest my people forget. Make them wander by Your might and bring them down, Adonai our shield.
13
The sin of their mouth is the word of their lips. Let them be captured in their pride, and because of the curse and falsehood they recount.
14
Consume them in wrath; consume them, and let them be no more. Let them know Elohim rules in Ya’aqov to the ends of the earth. Selah.
15
They return at evening; they growl like a dog and circle the city.
16
They wander for food; if they are not satisfied, they lodge through the night.
17
But I sing of Your strength; in the morning I shout of Your covenant-love. For You have been my high refuge and refuge in the day of my distress.
18
My Strength, to You I make melody, for Elohim is my high refuge, the Elohim of my covenant-love.
