1
To the Overseer, upon Shushan Edut. A Miktam of Daviyd. To teach,
2
when he struggled with Aram-Naharayim and Aram-Tzovah, and Yo’av returned and struck Edom in the Valley of Salt—twelve thousand.
3
Elohim, You have rejected us; You have broken us. You were angry; return to us.
4
You shook the earth and split it. Heal its fractures, for it is moved.
5
You made Your people see hardship; You gave us wine of staggering to drink.
6
You gave a banner to those revering You to be lifted because of Truth. Selah.
7
So Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer us.
8
Elohim has spoken in His Set-Apartness: “I exult; I divide Shekhem and measure the Valley of Sukkot.
9
Gil’ad is Mine and Menashsheh is Mine; Ephrayim is the strength of My head; Yehudah is My lawgiver.
10
Mo’av is My washing basin; over Edom I cast My sandal. Over me, Peleshet, shout aloud.”
11
Who brings me to the fortified city? Who leads me to Edom?
12
Is it not You, Elohim, who rejected us? Will You not, Elohim, go out with our armies?
13
Give us help from the adversary, for the salvation of Adam is emptiness.
14
Through Elohim we do mightily, and He treads down our adversaries.
