1
To the Overseer, according to Yedutun. Of Asaph. A melody.
2
My voice is to Elohim, and I cry; my voice is to Elohim, and He gives ear to me.
3
In the day of my distress I sought Adonai. My hand was stretched out at night and did not grow numb; my being refused comfort.
4
I remember Elohim and groan; I meditate, and my ruach grows faint. Selah.
5
You held open the watches of my eyes; I was disturbed and could not speak.
6
I considered days of ancient time, years of ages past.
7
I remember my stringed song in the night; with my heart I meditate, and my ruach searches:
8
“Does Adonai reject forever? Does He no longer show favor?
9
Has His covenant-love ceased perpetually? Has the Promise ended from generation to generation?
10
Has El forgotten to show favor? Has He shut His compassions in anger?” Selah.
11
Then I said, “This is my grief: the changing of the right hand of Elyon.”
12
I remember the deeds of Yah; surely I remember Your wonders from ancient time.
13
I meditate on all Your work and speak of Your deeds.
14
Elohim, Your way is in the Set-Apart Place. Who is an El great like Elohim?
15
You are the El doing wonders; You made Your strength known among peoples.
16
With Your arm You redeemed Your people, the sons of Ya’aqov and Yoseph. Selah.
17
Waters saw You, Elohim; waters saw You and writhed; the deeps also trembled.
18
Clouds poured out waters; skies gave a voice; Your arrows also flew.
19
The voice of Your thunder was in the wheel; lightning illuminated the world. The earth trembled and shook.
20
Your way was in the sea, Your path in mighty waters, and Your footprints were not known.
21
You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Mosheh and Aharon.
