1
To the Overseer, upon the Gittiyt. Of Asaph.
2
Shout for joy to Elohim our Strength; shout to the Elohim of Ya’aqov.
3
Lift a song and strike tambourine, pleasant lyre with harp.
4
Blow the shofar at the new moon, at the full moon, for the day of our festival.
5
For it is a statute for Yisra’el, a Judgment of the Elohim of Ya’aqov.
6
He set it as a Witness in Yoseph when He went out over the land of Mitzrayim. I heard a language I did not know:
7
“I removed his shoulder from the burden; his palms passed from the basket.
8
In distress you called and I rescued you; I answered you in the concealment of thunder; I examined you at the waters of Merivah. Selah.
9
Hear, My people, and I witness to you. Yisra’el, if you would listen to Me!
10
Let there be no foreign el within you; do not bow to an alien el.
11
I am Yahuah your Elohim, who brought you up from the land of Mitzrayim. Widen your mouth, and I fill it.
12
But My people did not listen to My voice, and Yisra’el was not willing toward Me.
13
So I sent them in the stubbornness of their heart; they walked in their own counsels.
14
If My people would listen to Me, if Yisra’el would walk in My ways,
15
quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their adversaries.
16
Those hating Yahuah would submit to Him, and their time would be forever.
17
He would feed him with the fat of wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”
