1
A prayer of Mosheh, ish of Elohim. Adonai, You have been our dwelling from generation to generation.
2
Before mountains were brought forth, before You formed the earth and world, from eternity to eternity, You are El.
3
You return enosh to dust and say, “Return, sons of Adam.”
4
For a thousand years in Your eyes are like yesterday when it passes, and a watch in the night.
5
You sweep them away; they are sleep. In the morning they are like grass changing:
6
in the morning it blossoms and changes; at evening it is cut and dries.
7
For we are consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are disturbed.
8
You set our crookednesses before You, our hidden things in the Light of Your face.
9
For all our days turn away in Your fury; we finish our years like a sigh.
10
The days of our years are seventy years, or by strength eighty years; yet their pride is labor and trouble, for it is quickly cut, and we fly.
11
Who knows the strength of Your anger, and according to reverence of You, Your wrath?
12
Teach us to count our days rightly, so we bring a heart of Wisdom.
13
Return, Yahuah—until when? Have compassion upon Your servants.
14
Satisfy us in the morning with Your covenant-love, so we shout and rejoice all our days.
15
Gladden us according to days You afflicted us, years we saw evil.
16
Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your splendor upon their sons.
17
Let the pleasantness of Adonai our Elohim be upon us. Establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.
