1
In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Yehudah: “We have a strong city. Salvation He appoints as walls and rampart.
2
Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter— the one guarding faithfulness.
3
The mind stayed upon You You keep in complete shalom, because in You he trusts.
4
Trust in Yahuah forever, for in Yah, Yahuah, is an everlasting Rock.
5
For He has brought low those dwelling on high, the exalted city. He brings it down, He brings it down to the earth, He causes it to reach the dust.
6
The foot shall trample it— the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
7
The path of the righteous is upright. Upright One, You make level the course of the righteous.
8
Indeed, in the path of Your Judgments, Yahuah, we have waited for You. For Your Name and for Your remembrance is the desire of the being.
9
With my being I have desired You in the night. Indeed, with my ruach within me I seek You early. For when Your Judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn Righteousness.
10
Though favor is shown to the wicked, he does not learn Righteousness. In a land of uprightness he acts crookedly, and does not see the majesty of Yahuah.
11
Yahuah, Your hand is lifted up, but they do not see. They shall see the zeal for the people and be ashamed. Indeed, fire for Your adversaries shall consume them.
12
Yahuah, You will establish shalom for us, for even all our works You have worked for us.
13
Yahuah our Elohim, masters besides You have ruled over us, but by You alone we make remembrance of Your Name.
14
The dead do not live. The shades do not rise. Therefore You have visited and destroyed them, and caused all remembrance of them to perish.
15
You have increased the nation, Yahuah. You have increased the nation. You are glorified. You have extended all the borders of the land.
16
Yahuah, in distress they sought You. They poured out a whisper when Your discipline was upon them.
17
As an ishah pregnant, drawing near to birth, writhes and cries out in her labor pains, so we have been before Your face, Yahuah.
18
We conceived. We writhed. As though we had given birth to ruach. We have not worked salvation in the earth, and the inhabitants of the world have not fallen.
19
Your dead shall live. My corpses shall rise. Awake and shout for joy, you who dwell in the dust. For your dew is a dew of lights, and the earth shall cause the shades to fall.
20
Go, My people. Enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little moment, until the indignation passes over.
21
For see, Yahuah comes out from His place to visit the crookedness of the inhabitant of the earth upon him. And the earth shall uncover the blood shed upon her, and shall no longer cover her slain.
