1
Rise; shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahuah has risen upon you.
2
For see, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahuah shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.
3
And nations shall walk to your light, and sovereigns to the brightness of your rising.
4
Lift your eyes all around and see: all of them gather; they come to you. Your sons come from afar, and your daughters are supported upon the side.
5
Then you shall see and become radiant; your heart shall tremble and enlarge, because the multitude of the sea shall turn to you; the wealth of nations shall come to you.
6
A multitude of camels shall cover you, young camels of Midyan and Ephah. All those from Sheva shall come; gold and frankincense they shall bear, and the praises of Yahuah they shall proclaim.
7
All the flocks of Qedar shall be gathered to you; the rams of Nevayot shall serve you. They shall ascend with acceptance upon My altar, and I shall glorify My glorious House.
8
Who are these flying like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?
9
Surely the coastlands wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshiysh first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the Name of Yahuah your Elohim and to the Holy One of Yisra’el, because He has glorified you.
10
Sons of foreigners shall build your walls, and their sovereigns shall serve you. For in My fury I struck you, but in My favor I have compassion upon you.
11
Your gates shall be opened continually; day and night they shall not be shut, to bring to you the wealth of nations, with their sovereigns being led.
12
For the nation and the kingdom that shall not serve you shall perish, and the nations shall be utterly laid waste.
13
The glory of Levanon shall come to you— the cypress, the elm, and the box tree together— to beautify the place of My Set-Apart Place; and I shall glorify the place of My feet.
14
And the sons of those afflicting you shall come bending low to you; all those despising you shall bow themselves at the soles of your feet. And they shall call you City of Yahuah, Tziyon of the Holy One of Yisra’el.
15
Instead of your being forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I shall appoint you an everlasting majesty, a joy of generation and generation.
16
You shall suck the milk of nations and suck the breast of sovereigns. And you shall know that I, Yahuah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Yaaqov.
17
Instead of bronze I shall bring gold; instead of iron I shall bring silver; instead of wood, bronze; and instead of stones, iron. I shall appoint shalom as your overseers and Righteousness as those pressing your work.
18
Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, destruction or fracture within your borders. But you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
19
The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor shall the brightness of the moon give light to you. But Yahuah shall become your everlasting light, and your Elohim your glory.
20
Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw, for Yahuah shall become your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be completed.
21
And your people, all of them righteous, shall inherit the land forever— the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.
22
The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a mighty nation. I, Yahuah, shall hasten it in its time.
