1
And the Word of Yahuah came to me, saying:
2
“Son of Adam, set your face toward the mountains of Yisra’el, and prophesy against them.
3
And you shall say: ‘Mountains of Yisra’el, hear the Word of Adonai Yahuah. Thus says Adonai Yahuah to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys: See, I Myself am bringing a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.
4
And your altars shall be desolated, and your incense altars shall be broken. And I will cast down your slain before the face of your idols.
5
And I will place the corpses of the sons of Yisra’el before the face of their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.
6
In all your dwelling places the cities shall become waste, and the high places shall become desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and bear their guilt, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be wiped away.
7
And the slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am Yahuah.
8
Yet I will leave a remnant, in that you shall have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the lands.
9
And those of you who escape shall remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I was broken by their prostituting heart that turned away from Me, and by their eyes that prostituted themselves after their idols. And they shall loathe themselves in their own faces because of the evils they committed in all their abominations.
10
And they shall know that I am Yahuah. Not in vain have I spoken that I would do this evil to them.’
11
Thus says Adonai Yahuah: ‘Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say: “Ah!” because of all the evil abominations of the House of Yisra’el, who shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.
12
The one far away shall die by pestilence, and the one near shall fall by the sword, and the one remaining and besieged shall die by famine. And I will complete My wrath upon them.
13
Then you shall know that I am Yahuah, when their slain are among their idols, around their altars, upon every high hill, upon all the tops of the mountains, and beneath every flourishing tree, and beneath every thick terebinth, in every place where they offered a pleasing aroma to all their idols.
14
And I will stretch out My hand against them, and make the land a desolation and an astonishment, from the wilderness toward Divlah, in all their dwelling places. And they shall know that I am Yahuah.’”
