1
And Yahushua entered the boat, crossed over, and came into his own city.
2
And see— they brought to him an ish who was paralyzed, lying upon a bed. And when Yahushua saw their trust, he said to the paralyzed man: “Take courage, son. Your sins are forgiven.”
3
And see— some of the scribes said within themselves: “This one speaks blasphemy.”
4
And Yahushua, knowing their thoughts, said: “Why do you think evil within your hearts?
5
For which is easier— to say: ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say: ‘Rise and walk’?
6
But so that you may know that the Son of Adam has authority upon the earth to forgive sins—” then he said to the paralyzed man: “Rise. Take up your bed, and go to your house.”
7
And he rose and went to his house.
8
And when the crowds saw this, they were afraid and glorified Elohim, who had given such authority to Adam.
9
And as Yahushua passed from there, he saw an ish named Mattithyahu, sitting at the tax station. And he said to him: “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.
10
And it came to pass, while Yahushua was reclining in the house, see— many tax collectors and those known publicly for sinful conduct came and reclined with Yahushua and his talmidim.
11
And when the Perushim saw this, they said to his talmidim: “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12
But when Yahushua heard, he said: “Those who are strong do not need a healer, but those who are sick.
13
Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire Covenant-Faithfulness, and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call those who consider themselves righteous, but sinners to turn back.”
14
Then the talmidim of Yochanan came to him, saying: “Why do we and the Perushim fast often, but your talmidim do not fast?”
15
And Yahushua said to them: “Can the sons of the wedding chamber mourn while the bridegroom is with them? But days shall come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they shall fast.
16
No one places a patch of unshrunk cloth upon an old garment, for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear becomes worse.
17
Neither do they pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the wineskins burst, the wine spills, and the wineskins are destroyed. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”
18
While he was speaking these things to them, see— a ruler came, bowed himself before him, and said: “My daughter has just died. But come, place your hand upon her, and she shall live.”
19
And Yahushua rose and followed him, and his talmidim with him.
20
And see— an ishah who had suffered a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the fringe of his garment.
21
For she said within herself: “If I only touch his garment, I shall be restored.”
22
And Yahushua turned, and seeing her, said: “Take courage, daughter. Your trust has restored you.” And the ishah was restored from that hour.
23
And when Yahushua came into the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making an uproar,
24
he said: “Make room. For the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.
25
But when the crowd had been put outside, he entered, took her by the hand, and the girl rose.
26
And the report of this went throughout all that land.
27
And as Yahushua passed from there, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying: “Son of Daviyd, have compassion on us.”
28
And when he entered the house, the blind men came near to him. And Yahushua said to them: “Do you trust that I am able to do this?” They said to him: “Yes, Master.”
29
Then he touched their eyes, saying: “According to your trust, let it be for you.”
30
And their eyes were opened. And Yahushua warned them sternly, saying: “See that no one knows this.”
31
But they went out and spread the report about him throughout all that land.
32
And as they were going out, see— they brought to him an ish unable to speak, afflicted by an unclean ruach.
33
And when the unclean ruach had been driven out, the mute ish spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying: “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Yisra’el.”
34
But the Perushim said: “By the ruler of the unclean ruachot he drives out unclean ruachot.”
35
And Yahushua went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Besorah of the Kingdom, and healing every sickness and every bodily weakness.
36
And when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and cast down, like sheep having no shepherd.
37
Then he said to his talmidim: “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.
38
Therefore petition the Master of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
