1
And when they drew near to Yerushalayim and came to Beit-Phageh, toward the Mount of Olives, Yahushua sent two talmidim,
2
saying to them: “Go into the village before you, and immediately you shall find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.
3
And if anyone says anything to you, say: ‘The Master has need of them,’ and immediately he shall send them.”
4
And this happened so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled:
5
“Say to the daughter of Tziyon: ‘See— your King comes to you, humble, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”
6
And the talmidim went and did as Yahushua commanded them.
7
They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their garments upon them, and he sat upon them.
8
And a very great crowd spread their garments upon the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them upon the road.
9
And the crowds going before him and those following cried out, saying: “Hosha-na to the Son of Daviyd. Blessed is the one who comes in the Name of Yahuah. Hosha-na in the highest.”
10
And when he entered Yerushalayim, the whole city was stirred, saying: “Who is this?”
11
And the crowds said: “This is Yahushua, the prophet from Natzeret of Galil.”
12
And Yahushua entered the House of Yahuah and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the House. And he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling doves.
13
And he said to them: “It is written: ‘My House shall be called a house of prayer.’ But you have made it a den of robbers.”
14
And the blind and the lame came to him in the House, and he restored them.
15
But when the chief kohenim and the scribes saw the wondrous things he did, and the children crying out in the House, saying: “Hosha-na to the Son of Daviyd,” they became angry.
16
And they said to him: “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Yahushua said to them: “Yes. Have you never read: ‘From the mouth of little children and nursing infants You established praise’?”
17
And leaving them, he went out from the city to Beit-Anyah and lodged there.
18
And early in the morning, as he returned to the city, he became hungry.
19
And seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing upon it except leaves only. And he said to it: “Let no fruit come from you again to the age.” And immediately the fig tree withered.
20
And when the talmidim saw it, they marveled, saying: “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”
21
And Yahushua answered and said to them: “Truly I tell you: if you have trust and do not divide within yourselves, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain: ‘Be lifted up and cast yourself into the sea,’ it shall happen.
22
And everything you ask in prayer, trusting, you shall receive.”
23
And when he entered the House, the chief kohenim and the elders of the people came near to him while he was teaching, saying: “By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you this authority?”
24
And Yahushua answered and said to them: “I also shall ask you one matter. If you answer me, I also shall tell you by what authority I do these things.
25
The immersion of Yochanan— from where was it? From the heavens, or from Adam?” And they reasoned among themselves, saying: “If we say: ‘From the heavens,’ he shall say to us: ‘Why then did you not trust him?’
26
But if we say: ‘From Adam,’ we fear the crowd, for everyone holds Yochanan as a prophet.”
27
And they answered Yahushua and said: “We do not know.” And he also said to them: “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
28
But what do you think? An ish had two sons. And he came to the first and said: ‘Son, go today and work in my vineyard.’
29
And he answered: ‘I will not.’ But afterward he regretted it and went.
30
And he came to the second and said the same. And he answered: ‘I am going, master.’ But he did not go.
31
Which of the two did the will of the father?” They said: “The first.” Yahushua said to them: “Truly I tell you: tax collectors and prostitutes are going before you into the Kingdom of Elohim.
32
For Yochanan came to you in the way of Righteousness, and you did not trust him. But the tax collectors and the prostitutes trusted him. And you, seeing this, did not afterward turn back and trust him.
33
Hear another parable. There was an ish, master of a house, who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and traveled away.
34
And when the season of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to receive his fruit.
35
And the tenants seized his servants. One they beat. Another they killed. And another they stoned.
36
Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them.
37
And afterward he sent his son to them, saying: ‘They shall respect my son.’
38
But when the tenants saw the son, they said among themselves: ‘This is the heir. Come. Let us kill him and seize his Inheritance.’
39
And they seized him, cast him outside the vineyard, and killed him.
40
Therefore when the master of the vineyard comes, what shall he do to those tenants?”
41
They said to him: “He shall destroy those evil men with an evil destruction and lease the vineyard to other tenant farmers who shall give him the fruits in their seasons.”
42
Yahushua said to them: “Have you never read in the sefarim: ‘The stone which the builders rejected became the chief cornerstone. This came from Yahuah, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
43
Therefore I tell you: the Kingdom of Elohim shall be taken from you and given to a people producing its fruits.
44
And whoever falls upon this stone shall be broken. But upon whomever it falls, it shall crush him.”
45
And when the chief kohenim and the Perushim heard his parables, they understood that he was speaking about them.
46
And although they sought to seize him, they feared the crowds, because the people held him as a prophet.
