1
And he said to his talmidim: “It is impossible that stumbling blocks should not come, but woe to the one through whom they come.
2
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3
Guard yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him. And if he turns back, forgive him.
4
And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to you, saying: ‘I turn back,’ you shall forgive him.”
5
And the emissaries said to the Master: “Increase our trust.”
6
And the Master said: “If you had trust like a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree: ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7
But which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, when he comes in from the field, shall immediately say to him: ‘Come near and recline to eat’?
8
Will he not rather say to him: ‘Prepare something for my meal, gird yourself, and serve me until I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you shall eat and drink’?
9
Does he thank that servant because he did the things commanded?
10
So also you, when you have done all the things commanded you, say: ‘We are servants who have only done what we were obligated to do.’”
11
And it happened, while he was going to Yerushalayim, that he passed between Shomeron and Galil.
12
And as he entered a certain village, ten men with tzara’at met him, standing at a distance.
13
And they lifted up their voices, saying: “Yahushua, Master, have compassion on us.”
14
And when he saw them, he said to them: “Go. Show yourselves to the kohenim.” And it happened, as they went, they were cleansed.
15
And one of them, seeing that he had been restored, turned back, glorifying Elohim with a great voice.
16
And he fell upon his face at the feet of Yahushua, giving thanks to him. And he was a Shomeroni.
17
And Yahushua answered: “Were not ten cleansed? Where then are the nine?
18
Was no one found to return and give glory to Elohim except this foreigner?”
19
And he said to him: “Rise. Go. Your trust has restored you.”
20
And being asked by the Perushim when the Kingdom of Elohim was coming, he answered them and said: “The Kingdom of Elohim does not come with visible observation,
21
nor shall they say: ‘See here,’ or: ‘There.’ For see— the Kingdom of Elohim is in your midst.”
22
And he said to the talmidim: “Days shall come when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Adam, and you shall not see it.
23
And they shall say to you: ‘See there,’ or: ‘See here.’ Do not go out or run after them.
24
For just as lightning, flashing from one part under the heavens, shines to the other, so shall the Son of Adam be in his day.
25
But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26
And just as it happened in the days of Noach, so shall it also be in the days of the Son of Adam.
27
They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage, until the day Noach entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28
Likewise, just as it happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building.
29
But on the day Lot went out from Sedom, fire and sulfur rained from the heavens and destroyed them all.
30
It shall be the same way on the day the Son of Adam is revealed.
31
In that day, whoever is upon the housetop and his possessions are in the house, let him not come down to take them. And likewise, the one in the field must not turn back.
32
Remember the ishah of Lot.
33
Whoever seeks to preserve his life shall lose it, but whoever loses it shall keep it alive.
34
I tell you: in that night there shall be two in one bed. One shall be taken, and the other left.
35
There shall be two women grinding together. One shall be taken, and the other left.”
36
[Some witnesses preserve: “Two shall be in the field. One shall be taken, and the other left.”]
37
And answering, they said to him: “Where, Master?” And he said to them: “Where the body is, there also the vultures shall gather.”
