1
And it came to pass in the one hundred and twentieth year of the life of Mosheh, when the measure of his days had reached its completion.
2
This was reckoned as the two thousand five hundredth year from the creation of the world.
3
Mosheh called Yehoshua son of Nun to himself, an ish approved before Yahuah.
4
He appointed him to serve the people and the Dwelling of the Testimony, together with all its set-apart things,
5
and to bring the people into the land promised to their fathers.
6
The land was to be given to them according to the Covenant and the Oath spoken concerning it, and Mosheh entrusted this charge to Yehoshua.
7
He said: “Be strong and resolute. Do with all your strength what has been commanded, so that you may stand blameless before Elohim.”
8
For He fashioned the world with His people held within His purpose.
9
Yet He did not reveal that purpose openly from the foundation of the world, so that the nations might expose themselves by their own arguments and be brought to humiliation.
10
Accordingly He purposed me and prepared me before the foundation of the world, that I should stand as mediator of His Covenant.
11
And now I declare to you: the years of my life have been fulfilled, and I am about to sleep with my fathers before the eyes of all the people.

Receive this writing, so that you may know how to preserve the sefarim which I deliver into your hand.
13
Order them, anoint them with cedar oil, and place them in earthen vessels in the place prepared from the beginning.
14
Keep them there until the day of repentance and visitation, when Yahuah shall visit His people at the consummation of the end of days. Assumption of Moses
