1
Then in that day there shall be an ish from the tribe of Levi whose name is Taxo. He shall have seven sons and shall exhort them.
2
He shall say: “See, my sons: a second ruthless and unclean visitation has come upon the people, a punishment without mercy and surpassing the first.
3
What nation, region, or people among those who act wickedly toward Yahuah and commit many abominations has suffered calamities as severe as those now fallen upon us?
4
Therefore hear me, my sons. Know that neither our fathers nor their fathers tested Elohim by choosing to transgress His commandments.
5
You know that this is our strength. Therefore this is what we shall do:
6
Let us fast for three days, and on the fourth let us enter a cave in the field. Let us die rather than transgress the commandments of Yahuah of Hosts, the Elohim of our fathers.
7
For if we do this and die, our blood shall be avenged before Yahuah.” Assumption of Moses
