1
My father made five other images and commanded me to carry them into the town and sell them. I loaded them upon his ass and went out.
2
Merchants from Paddan-Aram were traveling with camels toward Mitsrayim. As I spoke with them, one camel cried out; the ass was frightened, threw off the images, and three were broken while two remained whole.
3
The merchants said, 'Had you told us before, we would have bought them before they were broken.' They paid for those remaining and also gave value for the broken ones.
4
I cast the shattered images into the river Gur, and they sank into the depths and did not rise again.
