11:1
The messenger led me from there to the fifth heaven. Its gate was closed.
11:2
I asked, “My master, will this gate not open so we may enter?”
11:3
He answered, “We cannot enter until Mikha’el comes, the one holding the keys of the heavenly kingdom. Wait and see the radiance of Elohim.”
11:4
A great sound like thunder came. I asked its meaning.
11:5
He answered, “Mikha’el, commander of the messengers, is descending to receive the prayers of human beings.”
11:6
A voice ordered, “Let the gates be opened.” They opened with a roar like thunder.
11:7
Mikha’el came. My guide met him face to face and said, “Peace to you, commander of our order.”
11:8
Mikha’el answered, “Peace also to you, our brother and interpreter of revelation to those who walk in uprightness.” They stood together.
11:9
I saw Mikha’el holding an immense vessel, deep as the distance from heaven to earth and broad as the distance from north to south. My guide said, “Into this enter the merits and good works of the righteous, escorted before the heavenly Elohim.”
