After these you saw bright waters. This is the spring of Avraham, his generations, the coming of his son and his son’s son, and those resembling them.

In that time, though no written Torah was among them, the Torah was named; the works of the Commands were completed; belief in the coming Judgment was born; hope in the renewed world was built, and the promise of later life was planted.
