1
The vision which Yeshayahu son of Amotz saw: In the twentieth year of the reign of Chizqiyahu king of Yehudah, Yeshayahu son of Amotz and Yosab son of Yeshayahu came from Gilgal to Chizqiyahu in Yerushalayim.
2
And when he entered, he sat upon the couch of the king. They brought him a seat, but he would not sit upon it.
3
And when Yeshayahu began to speak words of trust and truth with King Chizqiyahu, all the rulers of Yisra'el were seated there, together with the eunuchs and counselors of the king.
4
And forty prophets and sons of prophets were there; they had come from villages, mountains, and plains when they heard that Yeshayahu was coming from Gilgal to Chizqiyahu.
5
They came to greet him, to hear his words, and so that he might place his hands upon them, that they might prophesy and that he might hear their prophecy; and they were all before Yeshayahu.
6
And while Yeshayahu was speaking to Chizqiyahu words of truth and trust, they all heard as though a door had been opened and heard the voice of Holy Ruach.
7
And the king summoned all the prophets and all the people who were found there, and they came; and Mikhah, Chananyah the elder, Yo'el, and Yosab sat at his right and left.
8
And it came to pass when they all heard the voice of Holy Ruach that they bowed upon their knees and glorified the Elohim of truth, El Elyon, who is in the upper world and sits on high, the Set-Apart One who rests among His set- apart ones.
9
And they gave glory to the One who had opened such a doorway in an alien world and had granted it to an ish.
10
And while Yeshayahu was speaking in Holy Ruach before them all, he became silent; his mind was taken up from him, and he no longer saw the ishim standing before him.
11
His eyes remained open, yet his lips were silent, and the mind within his body was taken up from him.
12
But his breath remained in him, for he was seeing a vision.
13
And the messenger sent to cause him to see was not from this firmament, nor from the messengers of glory of this world, but had come from the seventh heaven.
14
And the people standing near did not understand, but the circle of prophets understood that the set-apart Yeshayahu had been taken up.
15
And the vision which Yeshayahu saw was not from this world, but from the world hidden from flesh.
16
And after Yeshayahu had seen the vision, he narrated it to Chizqiyahu, to Yosab his son, and to the other prophets who had come.
17
But the rulers, eunuchs, and people did not hear it; only Shebna the scribe, Yoaqim, and Asaph the recorder heard, for these also practiced righteousness and the sweet fragrance of the Ruach rested upon them. The people had been sent away when the wisdom of this world was taken from Yeshayahu and he became as one dead.
