Afterward the Word came again to Yirmeyahu:

“Do not cease because they released you once. Return to the king and speak the same judgment.”

Yirmeyahu went again before Tzidqiyahu.

He said, “The armies of Bavel shall return. Do not deceive yourself because they withdraw for a moment.
5
The city shall be given over unless the people turn.”

The king listened in secret but would not stand openly against the rulers.
